The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 16th INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition.
Excerpts from the transcript:
Mikhail Misustin: Good afternoon, friends. Glad to meet you.
Mr Turchin, colleagues, we have got together to discuss, primarily, the questions on the bilateral agenda that our presidents Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko put to us. There are many questions, including the ones concerning industrial cooperation.
Tomorrow, we will visit together a major exhibition. I want to say that Belarusian products are impressive; there are many interesting innovative solutions offered by the partners. Joint ventures with Russian companies and new technologies will be on display. We will certainly look at the best options for wheeled vehicles, automotive equipment, and various industrial products. Additionally, we will discuss issues related to hydrocarbons, cooperation in the energy sector, financial matters, and socio-cultural aspects. We will hold official negotiations tomorrow.
Mr Turchin, welcome to Yekaterinburg.
Alexander Turchin: Thank you. It’s good that you and your colleagues have found time for working on Sunday because the agenda set by our presidents are always intensive, just like their latest meeting. Today is its logical continuation. We probably will have to make some decisions.
At the regional forum I met with Mr Overchuk and your colleagues, so the agenda is extensive, there is something to discuss, Mr Mishustin.
I am just sure that the Innoprom forum is a major event not only for the Russian Federation but also for Belarus and the EAEU countries. This is why our new achievements and joint projects are impressive and we do know where we should move further.
Mikhail Mishustin: And we will continue in September. In Belarus. An industrial exhibition will be held there too.
Alexander Turchin: Definitely, Mr Mishustin. So, we are waiting for you and your colleagues. Thank you again for the invitation.
