Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev held a series of bilateral meetings at the 29th St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
He discussed cooperation in agriculture and environmental stewardship with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev. Agricultural trade between the two countries is growing steadily. Last year, it increased by nearly a quarter, and this positive trend will continue in 2026.
Concluding the meeting, Dmitry Patrushev emphasised that Russia and Uzbekistan have significant potential for further deepening cooperation across a number of areas.
At a meeting with Minister without Portfolio in the Government of the Republic of Serbia Nenad Popović, Dmitry Patrushev noted that the two countries share a long‑standing friendship and cultural and historical affinity. Close partnership ties have been maintained, despite challenging political conditions and external pressure.
Approximately a quarter of trade between Russia and Serbia consists of agricultural products. Russia, for its part, is prepared to increase shipments of meat, oils and fats, confectionery and other goods, and may also increase supplies of mineral fertilisers. Cooperation in winemaking and viticulture was also discussed during the meeting.
