During his working visit to Uzbekistan, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko talked to participants in humanitarian projects implemented by the Russian Ministry of Education: Russian Teacher Abroad, Class! (Зўр!) and Baby (Миттивой).
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of the work of Russian teachers who were making a significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations between Russia and Uzbekistan.
“The Russian Teacher Abroad project is being run in almost 30 countries. Uzbekistan is among the leaders in terms of Russian teachers it has, which highlights the importance of bilateral cooperation in education between the two countries, as well as our presidents’ attitude. I know that you cooperate closely with your Uzbek colleagues and introduce advanced education technologies here. It is important to build a continuous educational trajectory between Uzbekistan specialists and Russian business,” the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
Dmitry Chernyshenko thanked the teachers for working selflessly and promoting the Russian language and culture in Uzbekistan.
“We are working actively as part of the Class! project. Teachers for Russia are trained and and have their skills upgraded at Herzen State Pedagogical University in St Petersburg. After that, they go to the Republic of Uzbekistan to teach Russian and share their experience with local teachers,” Russian Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov noted.
The minister added that the Russian side was ready to provide teaching aid and guidance materials to assist in training specialists here at a high level.
During the event, the participants discussed the Professionalism federal project and manuals of Russian as a foreign language.
At the meeting with participants of the youth projects and programmes implemented by Russia, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the importance and legacy of the World Youth Festival and discussed strengthening international youth relations between Uzbekistan and Russia.
Projects and initiatives that are to be implemented as part of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War were discussed separately, as well as ways to increase the youth’s interest in science and media literacy.
“You know that Russia pays a lot of attention to the international youth agenda. Some of you personally took part in the World Youth Festival in the Sirius federal territory. When organising an event like this, it was crucial for us that young people from all over the world, including from our fraternal Republic of Uzbekistan, come, see the infrastructure created and participate in the events,” Dmitry Chernyshenko said.
He also noted the importance of Uzbekistan’s support for phygital sports and the Games of the Future.
“At the World Youth Festival, the delegation from Uzbekistan was one of the largest, with over 300 young people from across the country taking part in it, getting a chance to make new friends from other countries, and demonstrate Uzbekistan’s unique experience in working with youth,” said Head of the Association of Volunteers of Uzbekistan Shirin Abidova who moderated the event.
During the meeting, Dmitry Chernyshenko awarded the World Youth Festival 2024 commemorative medals to representatives of Uzbekistan and Russia who made a great contribution to preparing and holding this large event. The medals were presented upon the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) Denis Ashirov, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Uzbekistan Irina Staroselskaya, Head of the Department of Social Development of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan Odil Abdurakhmanov, and First Deputy Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilnozahon Kattakhanova.
“Rosmolodezh has chosen a course to strengthen international youth relations. It is important for us to help young people from Russia and other countries to find things in common in various activities. Joint projects and programmes serve as contribution to developing the modern society and building a happy future,” Rosmolodezh State Secretary and Deputy Head Denis Ashirov stressed.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia also welcomed the participants in the international rally of the Future Games Trophy Path 2.0 project and launched its Tashkent – Jizzakh stage.
Mr Chernyshenko recalled that the rally began at the Russia – a Sports Power forum in Ufa in October. It will be held in the eight countries that are participants of the global phygital movement.
“Phygital and the Games of the Future are a new competition format that was invented in Russia at the instructions of President Vladimir Putin and became popular all over the world. We know that your head of state and the people of Uzbekistan also intend to be nominated to host the Games of the Future. I thank the leadership of Uzbekistan and everyone who works with young people for their caring attitude towards this format, which lets new stars shine both in computer games and in real sports,” Dmitry Chernyshenko noted.
