The heads of government discussed measures to combat the coronavirus infection and the efforts of Russian and Republic of Korea governments to overcome the pandemic’s consequences for both countries’ economies. They agreed to expand cooperation in the area of healthcare and to exchange accumulated experience to counter the spread of coronavirus.
Mikhail Mishustin and Chung Sye-kyun positively assessed bilateral cooperation in organising flights to repatriate the citizens of Russia and the Republic of Korea.
During the conversation, the parties voiced mutual interest in invigorating trade and economic and science and technological cooperation, including in the field of energy and transport infrastructure. They focused on the prospects for implementing trilateral economic projects that involve Russia, the Republic of Korea and the DPRK.
Mikhail Mishustin and Chung Sye-kyun noted the importance of holding events in the framework of the Year of Mutual Exchanges between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea. They also discussed the schedule for the upcoming intergovernmental contacts.
