Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov held online talks with Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in a meeting of the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation.
With the related departments from the two countries, the performance of the working groups on industry, energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, finance, and civil aviation was reviewed.
“The working group reports clearly demonstrate how extensive the agenda is in Russian-Indian relations. This once again confirms the importance of the intergovernmental commission for the systematic study of the range of areas of cooperation,” said Denis Manturov.
An agreement was reached to hold a full-scale meeting of the commission in India in April of this year.
