Alexei Overchuk’s meeting with members of the Government of the Republic of Belarus
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk chaired a working meeting with members of a Belarusian delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation – Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Rogozhnik.
The Belarusian delegation included Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Yefimov, Minister of Communications and Informatisation of the Republic of Belarus Kirill Zalessky, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus Alexei Kushnarenko, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Belarus Yury Seliverstov and First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus Ilya Glazko.
The officials reviewed key issues of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Belarus. They prioritised work under Guidelines to Implement the Provisions of the Treaty on Establishing the Union State in 2024–2026, collaboration in the sphere of energy, improving transport connectivity, expanding the capacity of railways and port infrastructure of both countries, implementing joint import substitution projects, digitalisation and the use of electronic digital signatures. They also discussed issues of providing more affordable mobile communications services in the Union State.
