Denis Manturov visits the International Defence Exhibition IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi
First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, who leads the Russian delegation to the United Arab Emirates, has visited the conference and defence exhibition, IDEX 2025, in Abu Dhabi. The Russian display was also toured by Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This year, the area of the Russian display exceeds 2,000 square metres and houses a record number of new models of weapons and military and specialised equipment presented by 40 leading Russian companies. For certain models, this is the first appearance outside Russia. A case in point is the T-90MS tank upgraded on the basis of real combat experience and possessing unique operational characteristics. Also premiering are the Pantsyr-SMD-E surface-to-air and antitank missile system with new anti-drone guided missiles, the Kub-1-1E and Kub-2-2E loitering munitions, and the Kornet-EM antitank missile system with a remote control unit and the Bulat guided missile. The Middle East also sees for the first time the Lantset-E loitering munition and the Berezhok shell unit.
“We selected most advanced hi-tech models that have confirmed their characteristics under real combat conditions. The Russian models on display are distinct from other exhibited pieces in that they can interact as a system. They successfully oppose and defeat our rivals’ equipment, also on display at this exhibition, in real combat,” Denis Manturov said.
Russian helicopter builders are presenting a series of craft intended for emergency services, including the latest Ka-32A11M fire-fighting helicopter, the Mi-38 helicopter with a luxury cabin, and two Ansat models – ambulance and police.
