Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak has visited Burkina Faso. This was the first visit to the country by a Russian deputy prime minister. The Russian delegation included Russian business people.
In Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, Alexander Novak held a working meeting with Interim Prime Minister Apollinaire Joachim Kyelem de Tambela.
The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. It was noted that the authorities of Burkina Faso and Russia held similar or identical views on global and regional affairs and supported the establishment of a more just global architecture based on international law, as well as a more pronounced central role of the United Nations.
