Under the working programme of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov met with his counterparts from CIS countries.
At the meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda, the sides discussed issues of trade and economic and investment interaction in great detail. In late 2023, Russia became Tajikistan’s largest foreign trade partner.
“The process is facilitated by active work under an approved plan of interaction between the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan in such spheres as the mining industry, metallurgy, light industry, machine-building sector, and construction materials industry,” Denis Manturov noted.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also met with First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar to discuss high-priority issues and promising bilateral cooperation projects. Both countries currently prioritise a portfolio of 135 industrial projects worth over $26 billion.
At the meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov, the sides focused on the future development of mutually beneficial industrial cooperation in high-priority sectors, including the automotive industry, chemical industry, and others.
