Economic, cultural and humanitarian relations with CIS countries on a bilateral basis
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev had a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev. The discussion focused on bilateral agro-industrial partnership.
“Russia and Uzbekistan are strategic partners in the sphere of agriculture. In 2024, agricultural produce and food trade soared by 20 percent, and positive trends persist this year. We believe that the market of Uzbekistan is highly promising for our exporters. We are ready to deliver additional shipments of vegetable oil, confectioneries, grain and livestock produce,” Dmitry Patrushev said.
In 2024, Russia primarily exported sugar, vegetable oil, confectioneries, oilcake, meal and baby food to Uzbekistan.
Dmitry Patrushev added that Russia is interested in importing more fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan, and that all the required conditions have been created for their unimpeded shipments.
