The meeting’s agenda will include 16 issues covering a wide range of areas of the Commonwealth’s most vital activities. The discussion will focus on trade and economic cooperation, joint policies in energy, healthcare, humanitarian issues, improving food safety and the implementation of the programme of joint work in the sphere of innovation.
The sides are expected to sign a protocol between the countries party to the Free Trade Zone Agreement of 18 October, 2011 which will establish the rules and procedures for state purchases, as well as the Convention on Agrobiodiversity. In addition they will approve the CIS Nations Health Strategy.
Other documents ready for signing include agreements on sharing information about accidents at CIS electric power facilities and on exchanging data about the movement of radioactivity sources. The Bishkek meeting is also expected to produce the Concept for CIS Cooperation in the Chemical Industry and Priority Measures for its Implementation.
