He is planning a number of meetings with his foreign counterparts on the forum sidelines.
One of the principal venues to discuss current international issues, the annual Munich forum was established in 1962. It gathers heads of state and government, and foremost experts on international security. Russia attends the conference as part of a long-established tradition.
