Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will attend the 23rd summit of the heads of state and government of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum as part of his tour of the Asia-Pacific region.
On 18 November, Mr Medevev is scheduled to address a special session of the summit focusing on Russia's approaches to promoting trade and investment cooperation under the present-day realities. He will also take part in a traditional joint meeting of the APEC leaders and APEC Business Advisory Council members, followed by an informal gathering of the APEC leaders.
On 19 November, the APEC summit's plenary sessions will be held, with ways of deepening economic integration and addressing demographic and environmental concerns high on the agenda. The leaders of the APEC economies will adopt a final declaration reflecting coordinated approaches to further cooperation in the region.
