The Ministry of Defence will dispatch over 20 heavy and special vehicles of the 102nd separate support brigade of the Eastern Military District to reinforce the 35th army, which is eliminating the aftermath of the flood in the Amur Region.
The brigade’s personnel and equipment will help deliver humanitarian aid to people from villages affected by the flood and construction materials to reconstruct village roads, bridges and infrastructure.
The task force of the 35th army of the Eastern Military District includes over 100 servicemen and 50 special engineering equipment units.
Forces of the combined arms teams and armies of the Eastern Military District, with a total of 2,000 servicemen and 240 military and special equipment units, have been put on alert to reinforce the group eliminating the aftermath of the flood in the Amur Region and carrying out rescue and other emergency operations.
Large units of the Eastern Military District have been formed and will operate on the Amur, Khabarovsk and Primorye operation lines.
