The procedure for expedited registration of medical equipment and the issuance of permits for the use of medications for treating coronavirus patients has been extended in Russia. The decision is part of the Government’s recent resolutions.
The simplified procedure allows receiving the necessary documents for using medications and medical equipment as soon as possible. This procedure was in response to the coronavirus and was in effect until January 1, 2021. Now it has been extended for another year.
This issue was discussed at a meeting of the Government’s Coordination Council on November 2. According to Mikhail Mishustin, the extension of this procedure will make it possible to avoid problems with supplies of medications and medical goods.
Later, the Prime Minister gave a number of instructions to the federal ministries and regional governors on the daily monitoring of the situation to make sure hospitals and pharmacies have adequate supplies of medications.
