Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuk held a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov on the sidelines of the 25th St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
During the talks, the two officials discussed current issues related to trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan and prospects for intensifying integration processes within the Eurasian Economic Union. They outlined priority objectives for stepping up cooperation in the area of transport, food security, as well as expanding industrial ties. They also discussed matters on the Eurasian Economic Commission’s agenda.
