Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin met with State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev to discuss priority efforts to deepen Russian-Belarusian integration within the Union State in the context of preparations for an upcoming meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers.
The draft agenda for the meeting of the Union Council of Ministers focuses on practical cooperation between Russia and Belarus. Particular focus will go to implementing the 2024–2026 Main Guidelines for Implementing the Provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State, which were approved by the Supreme State Council of the Union State on January 6, 2024.
Additionally, plans are in place to discuss the advancement of joint projects in various fields that are designed to create favourable conditions for expanding trade and economic cooperation and improving the well-being of the people of Russia and Belarus.
