On the agenda: Implementation of the President’s instructions given at the Security Council meeting.
Mikhail Mushustin: Good afternoon, colleagues,
At the Security Council meeting, the President gave us important instructions that are primarily aimed at further defending our sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also mentioned additional measures to strengthen our defence capability.
The President instructed us to enhance the resilience of the economy and industry. Federal ministries and departments and regional authorities should meet the requirements of our Armed Forces in a clear-cut and well-coordinated manner.
The President charged the Government under my leadership to establish a coordinating council. We drafted a relevant executive order and submitted it to the President.
The aim of the new structure is to promptly take measures to create and fulfil a targeted assignment in all key areas, including supplies of equipment and hardware for our military, construction work and transport.
We must quickly scale up the production of the required goods and make full use of the potential of the defence industry for this purpose. We must also actively involve our business community in these efforts. We will reach the goals facing our country only by concerted efforts.
It is particularly important to provide those who are defending our national interests with everything they need, including, as the President said, equipment, gear, medical aid, medications, food and, of course, proper living conditions and, last but not the least, decent remuneration.
The President determined that the military allowance should not be less than 195,000 roubles per month for everyone, including those that are still undergoing training and education. They should receive these funds in full and on time.
Mr Siluanov, please take this issue under your personal supervision today.
Colleagues, a supervising deputy prime minister will be assigned to every area. It is necessary to prepare specific proposals depending on your area of work. We will report to the President on our performance every week.
And one more point. The President noted that the governors of the Russian regions bear special responsibility in this regard. They will receive additional powers for implementing the set tasks, including providing comprehensive assistance to the families of those mobilised for military service. We must take care of the families of our defenders.
Colleagues,
I would like to ask you to closely monitor the implementation of all relevant measures in the areas under your supervision. Do what you can to help them organise this work wherever necessary.
All presidential instructions must be fulfilled diligently and on time.
