In the Khabarovsk Territory, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets visited social facilities and chaired a meeting on the development of the region. The governmental delegation she led included Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Livanov and Minister of Labour and Social Protection Maxim Topilin. The members of the Government visited, among other facilities, a perinatal centre, the Pacific State University, the Positron Emission Tomography Centre of the Khabarovsk Territorial Oncology Centre, an orphanage in the village of Topolevo and the Rus culture and sports centre.
Based on the results of her visit, Olga Golodets issued a number of instructions to the Ministry of Healthcare and the Ministry of Economic Development, in particular to develop proposals on the construction of the third stage of the perinatal centre.
During her visit to the Primorye Territory, the Deputy Prime Minister took part in celebrations for Russian Navy Day in Vladivostok and congratulated sailors and navy veterans.
“The sailors and residents of the Russian Far East are the first to start celebrating Russian Navy Day. We are proud of our Navy and those who worthily guard Russia’s maritime borders,” she told Pacific Fleet sailors and Vladivostok residents.
Olga Golodets and Ministers Dmitry Livanov and Maxim Topilin laid flowers at the Eternal Flame in the Military Glory of the Pacific Fleet memorial complex on Korabelnaya Embankment in Vladivostok, went past a naval parade formation on board a motor launch and visited the flagship of the naval parade.
During her visit to the Primorye Territory Olga Golodets also inspected a new medical centre of the Far Eastern Federal University, the territorial clinical diagnostic centre, and the new building of the Primorye Opera and Ballet Theatre. Based on the results of her visit, the Deputy Prime Minister chaired a meeting dedicated to the socioeconomic development of the Territory.
Before flying home, Olga Golodets visited the Okean children’s health camp, where she welcomed children from China’s Sichuan Province which was hit by an earthquake in April. The children had been invited by the Russian Government.
