During their telephone conversation, the prime ministers exchanged opinions on the implementation of the agreements reached at the Russian-Finnish talks on January 29, 2016 in St Petersburg. They paid special attention to the need to step up the activities of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
Mr Medvedev and Mr Sipila reviewed a number of specific issues related to the implementation of joint industrial, investment and infrastructure projects.
Speaking about the need to counter illegal migration, the prime ministers emphasised the importance of observing current legislation and relevant international legal standards.
Mr Medvedev and Mr Sipila agreed to maintain regular contacts. The conversation was initiated by the Finnish side.
