The document provides for the implementation of provisions of the federal law On the Federal Budget for 2013 and the Planning Period of 2014 and 2015, pursuant to which, in 2013, 360 million roubles in subsidies will be allocated from the federal budget to constituent entities of the Russian Federation as targeted financial support for sport organisations involved in preparing alternate members for Russian national teams.
The rules on providing federal subsidies to constituent entities of the Russian Federation to financially support sports organisations involved in preparing alternates for Russian national teams have been approved by the Resolution No. 456 of the Government of the Russian Federation of May 30, 2013.
Subsidies are meant to defray the cost to Russian regions of holding training events in core Olympic and Paralympic sports, providing food and accommodations to athletes during Russian championships, enhancing the qualifications of specialists in the field of physical education and sport, and acquiring sport equipment and gear.
Implementation of the resolution’s provisions will ensure that the necessary measures are taken in 2013 to prepare the 55,000 alternate members of Russian national teams at 1,188 sport training institutions.
