Seven federal state scientific agencies have been established in Crimea based on local state budgetary institutions

This directive has been submitted by the Federal Agency for Scientific Organisations.
Per presidential instruction, all scientific and support organisations in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol that were previously subordinated to the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, scientific organisations and experimental facilities of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Ukraine, as well as the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory that was under the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science, shall be re-subordinated to the regional authorities and subsequently transferred to the jurisdiction of theFederal Agency for Scientific Organisations.
In this connection, the appropriatestate budgetary scientific agencies ofthe Republic of Crimea were established.
The signed directive establishes the following federal state budgetary scientific institutions on the basis of property allotted and de facto used by these agencies bythe Republic of Crimea and sets forth the main goals of their activity:
- The Crimean Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
- The Black Sea Hydro-Physical Testing Site of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
- The Institute of Archaeology of Crimea of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
- The Vyazemsky Karadag Research Station – Nature Reserve of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
- The Crimean Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture;
- The Magarach All-Russian National Scientific Research Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
- The Order of the Red Banner Nikitsky Botanical Garden – National Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
TheFederal Agency for Scientific Organisations acts as the founder of thesefederal state budget scientific agencies,and it also owns their property.
