This Agreement has been approved by a resolution of the Russian Government. The Agreement was prepared by the Council on Education of the Eurasian Economic Community’s Integration Committee and was earlier approved at the Committee’s 58th meeting.
Previously, the mutual recognition of education documents, providing for equal enrollment opportunities at the education institutions in the Eurasian Economic Community, was regulated by the Agreement of 24 November 1998 between the governments of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Tajikistan.
The adoption of new regulations, including those establishing new types of education documents in the Eurasian Economic Community, has called for the development of a new agreement, reflecting these changes.
The Government resolution facilitates the improvement of the legal framework, required for the reciprocal recognition of education documents, degrees, and academic titles in the Eurasian Economic Community.
