Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev held talks with the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives of the Kingdom of Thailand, Mr Suriya Juangroongruangkit. The parties discussed prospects for expanding mutual supplies of agricultural products and food.
“The Kingdom of Thailand is Russia’s longstanding partner in Southeast Asia. Next year will mark the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. We are set to continue enhancing our active political dialogue, as well as trade and economic cooperation across all areas. I trust that today’s meeting will provide additional momentum to the further development of bilateral ties,” Dmitry Patrushev said.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted the steady growth in bilateral trade in agricultural products and food, which increased by more than 15 percent last year. Dmitry Patrushev emphasised Russia’s readiness to boost supplies to the Thai market. The issue of supplying mineral fertilisers to the Kingdom of Thailand was also discussed during the meeting.
