Alexander Novak meets with Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Sami Mohammed Al- Sadhan
Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak had a working meeting with Ambassador
of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sami Mohammed Al-Sadhan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the fuel and energy, trade, economic and transport sectors.
“Despite the persisting complicated international situation, Russian-Saudi relations are developing dynamically. They are underpinned by well-established, trust-based personal ties between President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman.
There are plans to organise a series of joint events marking the 100th anniversary of Russian-Saudi relations throughout 2026. It is particularly symbolic that later this year, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will take part as a guest country in the 29th St Petersburg International Economic Forum and in the International Forum of United Cultures.
“I am confident that this will further strengthen cooperation in the most important fields,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
