Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Prime Minister of Abkhazia Vladimir Delba, as co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Commission on Social and Economic Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia, discussed the results and prospects of bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, they considered some aspects of the financial and economic model of Abkhazia’s electric power system functioning, the programme for developing a common socio-economic space, soft lending for investment projects and the introduction of an automated system of tax administration.
“Since our last meeting in July 2025 within the intergovernmental commission much has already been accomplished: we have undertaken serious work to draw up and adopt strategic documents for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Abkhazia until 2030 and our subsequent cooperation to implement them. The outcomes achieved in 2022–2025 prove the effectiveness of the mechanisms chosen to support the real sector of the economy and encourage investment activity in the Republic,“ said Alexander Novak.
