On organisations for orphaned or children deprived of parental care
There are 1626 organisations for orphaned or children deprived of parental care (for 96,225 children), including 1287 educational institutions for orphans (for 71,436 children).
As of August 1, 2013, 112,818 children deprived of parental care were registered on the State Database of Children without Parental Custody (6,200 less than at the beginning of 2013 and 13,700 less than at the beginning of 2012).
According to data from the regional executive authorities, in the first half of 2013 the number of new orphans has decreased by 3.4% relative to the first half of 2012. At the same time, the number of adopted children has grown by 4.7%, while the number of adoptions by foreigners has decreased by 34.7%.
