Mikhail Mishustin’s opening remarks: Good morning, colleagues. Tomorrow, as is customary, the Government will present its report to the State Duma. I will deliver an account of the work carried out over the past year. Naturally, this will focus primarily on the implementation of the tasks set by the President to support citizens, develop the key sectors of the national economy and the social sphere. I will also address the steps being taken to achieve the national development goals approved by the President. Ahead of the report, during the traditional consultations with representatives of the parliamentary parties, we held substantive discussions on issues of fundamental importance for improving the quality of life of our citizens. This is precisely the kind of public feedback whose importance is consistently emphasised by the President. Members of parliament put forward specific initiatives, all of which will, of course, be carefully considered and thoroughly examined. The results of these meetings were discussed with State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, as was the overall progress of preparations for tomorrow’s event.
Colleagues,
During the report, parliamentarians will raise their questions and we must provide detailed responses.
The State Duma and the Government share a common objective: the steady development of the country and the well-being of our citizens. We have established systematic cooperation across a wide range of formats. There is no doubt that we will continue to strengthen it.
Today, we will discuss in detail how preparations are progressing.
