Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev visited the Gulfood 2026 international exhibition in Dubai. This marks Russia’s 11th participation in the event. “The exhibition is of great interest to our producers. For eleven years, the United Arab Emirates has hosted Russian products, providing a platform to reach new customers. This year marks a record level of participation, with around 140 companies taking part and more than 2,000 square metres dedicated to Russian goods. Overall, agricultural and food trade between the Russian Federation and the United Arab Emirates continues to grow year after year. Over the past three years, it has doubled to $400 million. We will continue working to sustain this momentum and expect trade to increase by at least 10 percent by the end of 2026,” Dmitry Patrushev said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted the active development of halal products’ export and emphasised that Russian companies are ready to expand supplies of grain, meat, and dairy products to the United Arab Emirates. In addition, work is ongoing to establish a BRICS grain exchange – an initiative of global significance, as BRICS countries account for nearly half of global consumption of grains and oilseeds.
