Participants also discussed matters dealing with developing cross-border commuter rail service, applying the Made in the Union State label to products made by Russian and Belarusian companies, as well as promoting tourism.
A separate item on the agenda focused on creating a Union State Committee for Standardisation and Quality. It is expected to coordinate and promote industrial, academic, educational and regulatory integration for improving national quality control frameworks, removing technical barriers in mutual trade and improving protections from low-quality products, while also protecting consumer rights.
The two countries remain proactive in carrying out the key document governing integration-related matters between the two countries, i.e., the Guidelines for Implementing the Provisions of the Treaty Establishing the Union State in 2024–2026.
