The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia met with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic during his working visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk met with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov during his working visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The discussion focused on current issues on the bilateral agenda, including trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation.
The President of the Kyrgyz Republic expressed satisfaction with the active growth of political contacts between Kyrgyzstan and Russia and congratulated Alexei Overchuk on the successful completion of a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Kyrgyz Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation. Sadyr Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan and Russia continued to actively interact within integration associations, such as the EAEU, the CIS, the CSTO and the SCO.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia pointed out that the Kyrgyz Republic is Russia’s strategic partner and ally in Central Asia, and that their multifaceted relations are based on mutual respect and trust, as well as a common history. Alexei Overchuk also mentioned the growth of mutual trade and cargo traffic, and expressed Russia’s readiness to strengthen allied relations and promote the progressive development of cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic.
