First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov chaired the 23rd meeting of the Interstate Commission for Military-Economic Cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (ICMEC CSTO). The participating delegations from CSTO member states reviewed the progress made in implementing the previously taken decisions and approved the work plan for 2026.
The First Deputy Prime Minister identified the priority areas of cooperation among CSTO member states, particularly the joint personnel training for defence enterprises and the development of common approaches to the standardisation of weapons and materiel.
“I want to highlight the current status of the works on establishing an interstate system for cataloguing supplies for the armed forces of our countries. This system will enhance the efficiency of our military-technical cooperation through centralised control over the range and quality of weapons, equipment, components, dual-use products, military-technical and other property. An important factor in the effective practical use of this system is the availability of a classifier of the CSTO states’ economic activities. Work on this has reached its final stage and we must present it in the form of a document,” said Denis Manturov.
The First Deputy Prime Minister supported the initiative of the SCTO Secretariat to hold the second CSTO Military-Economic Conference next year.
Following the meeting,
Denis Manturov signed the minutes of the 23rd meeting of the Interstate
Commission for Military-Economic Cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty
Organisation. In addition, he and the heads of the national delegations signed
a number of individual decisions of the ICMEC CSTO.
