The Nauka 0+ Open Week — Science and Culture Festival is now underway in Shenzhen, China, on the initiative of Lomonosov Moscow State University, lasting until 26 October 2025.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko greeted participants and organisers.
He noted that the event was taking place ahead of the cross Years of education, scheduled to be held in 2026 and 2027 in Russia and China on the initiative of President Vladimir Putin and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
“The flagship Joint Russian-Chinese University that became a platform for the event currently has about 5,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. They are mastering over 70 topical educational curricula. The university’s advanced research projects are making a substantial contribution to Russia-China research collaboration. This is our common investment into the future,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
The Open Week’s participants will attend fascinating lectures by leading scientists, practical lessons, master classes, workshops, business and creative events.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked Moscow State University Rector Viktor Sadovnichy and the leadership of the Joint Russian-Chinese University for organising the festival and wished project participants every success, creative inspiration and new breakthrough ideas.
Nauka 0+ is the most ambitious national and international popular science project and a key event of the Decade of Science and Technologies in Russia, announced by President Vladimir Putin.
The Ministry of Science and Education, with the support of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Russian Academy of Sciences, research and education organisations and technological production companies, are organising the Open Week on behalf of Russia. Chinese partners include Shenzhen MSU-BIT University (SMBU), the Guangdong Academy of Sciences and the Shenzhen Municipal Government.
