Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak had a working meeting with Minister of Finance and Economic Planning of the Republic of the Sudan Gibril Ibrahim and Minister of Energy and Oil Industry of the Republic of the Sudan Ibrahim Elmutasim.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.
“Sudan is our important partner in Africa. We have plans for mutually beneficial cooperation with Sudan and are committed to continuing the dialogue. We believe that Russia and Sudan have a certain potential for increasing interaction in a variety of areas. At the meeting of the 8th Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation last month we noted most promising areas of development between our countries. We achieved understanding in building up bilateral interaction in transport, energy, trade, agriculture and education,” Alexander Novak stressed.
