Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov presented awards to the winners of the Energy of Words international media contest on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week forum.
The contest is held annually by the Global Energy Association and aims to support journalists covering key processes and trends in global energy. This year, 210 entries from 31 countries were submitted for participation. Winners were selected by a jury comprising heads of leading Russian media holdings, news agencies, and business publications.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the significant contribution of media representatives in shaping the image of the energy sector.
“You are at the heart of the information agenda, promptly reporting on developments in the energy sector. You meticulously analyse the latest trends in the fuel and energy complex, engage with representatives of energy companies, monitor the evolution of the global energy industry, and track the domestic market situation. Your work reflects the industry’s key trends,” emphasised Alexander Novak.
Dmitry Peskov noted that Russian Energy Week is a uniquely substantive event. “In Russia, energy is deeply intertwined with many aspects of our society, and you communicate our country’s achievements to the world. I am pleased that interest in the Energy of Words award continues to grow, and its quality is rising,” said the Presidential Press Secretary.
