Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak had a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich at the Russian Energy Week.
The parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues and interaction within the Union State.
Russia is Belarus’s main trading partner, accounting for about 60 percent of total trade. In 2024, mutual trade reached record high levels. Russia remains a leader in terms of accumulated capital investment in the Belarusian economy.
The officials noted that cooperation in the fuel and energy sector is developing in the interests of both countries.
