Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Patrushev paid a working visit to the Republic of India, where he took part in the opening ceremony for the World Food India 2025 exhibition. He also walked around the venue and talked to Russian producers of output displayed at the exhibition.
“The Russian Federation is a key supplier of agricultural products to the international market. This is our contribution to global food security. The Republic of India is a leading trade partner to Russia in the agricultural sphere. In 2024, trade between our countries grew by 12 percent. In 2025, Russia has reaffirmed its status as the biggest sunflower oil supplier to the Indian market. I hope that Russian and Indian companies will establish new enduring contacts at the exhibition,” Dmitry Patrushev said.
During his visit to the exhibition, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia had a meeting with Minister of Food Processing Industries of the Republic of India Chirag Ram Vilas Paswan. Dmitry Patrushev stressed that Russia was interested in developing cooperation in an active manner even further. He also noted that the participation of Russian producers in the World Food India 2025 exhibition could promote to launch new joint projects.
Dmitry Patrushev toured the Russian Federation’s display. Sixteen Russian exporting companies from the main sub-sectors of the agro-industrial complex – grain, fat-and-oil, meat, milk, confectionery industry, end products, alcohol and soft drinks, fish and sea foods – are attending the World Food India 2025 exhibition. In all, over 30 Russian companies participate in the business mission within the exhibition’s framework.
