Mikhail Mishustin with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon
Excerpts from the transcript:
Emomali Rahmon: Mr Mishustin, I am delighted to welcome you to Dushanbe.
The format of meetings of the CIS heads of government is an important platform for the development of our cooperation.
Relations between our countries are developing dynamically.
Russia is a major strategic partner, and the further development of cooperation with it is a key priority for us. We will continue along this path.
Once again, welcome to Tajikistan.
Mikhail Mishustin: Mr Rahmon, I would like to use this occasion to convey to you the best wishes and greetings from President Vladimir Putin. You recently met with him during the celebrations of our common Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow, and also during your official visit to Russia in March. For our part, Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda and I will implement all the decisions our leaders adopt.
Trade and economic relations between our countries are developing quite successfully. Our trade increased by 7 percent, to 44 billion roubles, over the first four months of 2025.
Of course, we can also increase our mutual deliveries and projects in machine-building, agriculture, mining, energy and many other spheres.
I would like to emphasise that we are currently hosting Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Moscow and Kazan. The arrival of Tajik workers of culture and artists has been met with considerable interest in Russia.
Thank you very much.
