On May 29, a working meeting on developing Northern Eurasia’s transport and logistical complex was held at a Kazakhstani and Russian initiative on the sidelines of the Astana International Forum (AIF 2025) in Kazakhstan.
Alexei Overchuk took part in a working meeting on promoting transport and logistical connectivity in Eurasia
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexei Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Jumangarin, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiyev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojayev, and Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan Nooruddin Azizi.
The parties considered current and prospective international rail, motor, and air transport corridors that ensure better connectivity of Eurasia’s main East-West and North-South routes. They also discussed issues related to better coordination as well as to developing border checkpoints and harmonising their operations both inside the EAEU and on its external borders.
