Dmitry Patrushev’s meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the United Arab Emirates and First Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the United Arab Emirates and First Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. The officials focused on cooperation in agriculture and in the financial and banking sector.
“Relations between our countries are developing dynamically. We sincerely appreciate our constructive dialogue in many areas. A key area is the agro-industrial sector. Last year, trade in farm products and food grew by almost one-third. We hope that the positive dynamics will persist this year,” Dmitry Patrushev said, adding that Russia was ready to boost grain, meat and confectionary supplies to the United Arab Emirates. Russia is promoting its production and exports of halal products that meet all the UAE standards.
The participants also considered the possibility of energising the dialogue between financial organisations of both countries.
Other officials participating in the discussion of issues on the bilateral agenda were Minister of State for Financial Affairs Mohammed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism Helal Saeed Al Marri, and UAE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Mohammed Ahmed Sultan Issa Al Jaber.
