Directive №285-r of 11February 2025
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed a directive on expanding the list of border checkpoints where foreigners will be able to use the unified e-visa to enter Russia.
The Tashanta vehicle checkpoint in the Republic of Altai has been added to the list. It is the 105th border checkpoint where the use of unified e-visas is authorised.
The system allowing entry into Russia with a unified e-visa was launched in the summer of 2023. Such a document can be obtained on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website, where there is a special page for tourist, business, humanitarian and guest trips. No invitations, hotel bookings or other documents confirming the purpose of the trip are required. The processing time will take no more than four days and children under six will receive a visa free of charge.
The use of the unified e-visa will promote tourism, enhance the investment appeal of regions, and contribute to economic growth.
This work is carried out under the Foreign Policy Activities state programme.
