Excerpts from the transcript:
To Lam (via interpreter): I am delighted to welcome you, Comrade Prime Minister, and the entire Russian delegation on your official visit to Vietnam.
I know that this is your first visit to Vietnam in your capacity as Russian Prime Minister. You are also the first high guest to arrive in Vietnam in 2025. By our tradition, the first guest is always a very important visitor for us. He brings good fortune and all the best to our country.
I would like to ask you to convey the warmest seasonal greetings to Comrade President Putin and also to Comrade Medvedev.
Your current visit is of great importance for our bilateral relations. As you may know, we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of our diplomatic relations this year.
We have enjoyed a very good, traditional friendship for the past 75 years.
I would like to give you the floor.
Mikhail Mishustin: Thank you very much, Comrade General Secretary. Thank you for the warm reception and your attention to the Russian delegation. Taking this opportunity, I would like to convey to you the warmest and sincerest wishes, as well as best regards, from President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
This year, we will celebrate several significant anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the 75th anniversary of our diplomatic relations, and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnam from US forces.
We hope that you, Comrade General Secretary, will attend all the celebrations dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. We are making preparations, organisational and otherwise, to receive you in Moscow.
In conclusion, I would like to say that today, my colleague and I have discussed the entire range of our bilateral issues. We have signed a relevant plan of events with regard to our relations until 2030. We have also approved 13 roadmaps and intend to expand our trade to $15 billion by 2030.
