During their talks, which were held in a business luncheon format, the two sides discussed a wide range of economic issues. Special emphasis was placed on Russian energy supplies to Moldova and the import of Moldovan agricultural produce, wines and brandies into Russia.
The Russian delegation included Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who co-chairs the Russian-Moldovan Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, as well as the heads of the Ministry of Regional Development and the Ministry of the Interior, and deputy ministers of foreign affairs, economic development, and energy.
