The participants approved the draft decision adopted by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, On Granting the Islamic Republic of Iran the Eurasian Economic Union Observer State Status. The decision will be submitted for consideration by the heads of the EAEU member states in December 2024.
Technical regulations, The Perfumery and Cosmetic Product Safety, have been amended to include specific areas for using technical regulation, specified requirements for family cosmetics, including for children under 14 years of age, and identify the possibility of toxicological assessment of perfumes and cosmetics products based on toxicological analysis of ingredients.
The participants exchanged views on approaches to forming a single EAEU services market and approaches to harmonising EAEU economic legislation governing the financial market. The Russian side identified fundamental issues that need to be reviewed by the Commission.
The draft council decision, On EAEU Body Chairmanship, was approved as well. In 2025, the chairmanship will go to the Republic of Belarus.
The participants resolved to amend the Unified Quarantine Phytosanitary Requirements for quarantined products and sites on the EAEU customs border and customs territory. The decision provides for establishing quarantine phytosanitary requirements for certain species of agricultural plants.
The participants signed an agreement on permissible weights, axle loads and dimensions of vehicles travelling on the EAEU member state roads that are part of the Eurasian transport corridors.
They also reviewed information on the progress of forming common gas, petroleum and refined product markets provided by the Commission.
They approved the agendas of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meetings to be convened in December 2024.
Decisions were made to establish reduced tariffs on imports of butter, cattle meat, potatoes, carrots, and apples.
