Resolution No. 1544 of November 14, 2024
Russia imposes temporary restrictions on the export of enriched uranium. A resolution to this effect has been signed.
It concerns the export of enriched uranium to the United States or under foreign trade agreements concluded with persons registered in the US jurisdiction. The exception is deliveries under one-time licenses issued by the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control.
The decision was taken by presidential instruction in response to the US restriction on the imports of Russian uranium products for 2024–2027 and a ban on such imports from 2028. Vladimir Putin instructed the Government to analyse the possibility of restricting supplies of strategic raw materials to foreign markets at a meeting with the Government in September.
The signed document amends Government Resolution No. 313 of March 9, 2022.
