Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved the appointment of curators and managers of several ongoing federal projects. This decision was made to ensure the effective operation of the new Cabinet as it carries out the President’s instructions and works towards achieving the national development goals.
These appointments concern the federal project implementing the initiatives for Russia’s socioeconomic development, as well as federal projects included in national projects.
In particular, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova has been designated curator of the Personal Medical Assistants federal project, which supports the socioeconomic development initiative of the same name under the Technological Breakthrough programme.
First Deputy Minister of Transport Valentin Ivanov has been appointed head of the Seaport Development and Regional Airport Development federal projects. Deputy Minister of Transport Viktor Timofeyev will lead the Construction of Highways of the Europe – Western China International Transport Corridor. Deputy Minister of Transport Alexei Shilo will oversee the following federal projects: High-Speed Rail Development; Development of Rail Infrastructure of the Eastern Operating Domain; Development of Rail Approaches to Seaports of the Azov–Black Sea Basin; Development of Rail Approaches to Seaports of the Northwestern Basin; and Development of Rail Infrastructure of the Central Transport Hub.
All of these projects form part of the Transport Section of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernisation and Expansion of Trunk Infrastructure until 2024 national project.
Deputy Minister of Transport Viktor Timofeyev will also oversee the following federal projects: Regional and Local Road Network, Backbone Measures for Road Development, and Development of the Federal Highway Network, which are part of the Safe and High-Quality Roads national project.
State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Roman Chekushov has been appointed head of the Industrial Export federal project, which is part of the International Cooperation and Export national project.
