Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved changes to the allocation of responsibilities among the deputy prime ministers who oversee the work of federal executive bodies on national and federal projects as well as matters of state policy.
This decision was made to ensure the effective operation of the new Cabinet as it carries out the President's instructions and works towards achieving the national development goals.
Under the updated arrangement, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak will now assume full responsibility for coordinating all aspects of state climate policy, including issues related to greenhouse gas emission limitations. These matters were previously overseen by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev, in turn, has assumed full oversight of the implementation of the Ecology national project. He will coordinate the work of ministries and agencies on the Volga Recovery federal project. These projects were previously managed by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
