Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved the assignment of curators for a number of federal projects that are key to the socioeconomic development of Russia, alongside the leaders of specific national projects. This decision aims to ensure the effective operation of the new Cabinet in executing the President’s instructions and achieving national development goals.
Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev has been assigned to oversee the federal projects General Cleaning, Circular Economy, and Geology: Revival of a Legend, all of which implement socioeconomic development initiatives under the Ecology programme.
Dmitry Patrushev will also lead the federal project Agricultural Science – A Leap into the Future of the Agro-Industrial Sector, which advances socioeconomic development under the Technological Breakthrough initiative.
First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov will supervise the federal projects Electric and Hydrogen Vehicles, Take-Off – From Startup to IPO, and the Digital Ecosystem Single Window for Exporters. He will continue his oversight of the federal project Development of New Materials. These federal projects are central to advancing socioeconomic development under the Technological Breakthrough programme.
First Deputy Minister of Culture Sergei Obryvalin has been appointed head of the federal project Invented in Russia, which implements socioeconomic development initiatives under the Social Sphere programme.
Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov will lead the national projects International Cooperation and Export and Unmanned Aerial Systems, while Minister of Transport Roman Starovoit will manage the transport component of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernisation and Expansion of Core Infrastructure until 2024 and the Safe and High-Quality Roads national project. Oversight of the federal project Russian Defence Ministry’s Roads, which forms part of this national project, has been assigned to Deputy Defence Minister Andrei Bulyga.
The curators and leaders of the remaining federal and national projects will be approved as agreed proposals are formulated within the Government Staff.
