Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk took part in the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council held on 14 December in Moscow.
The participants in the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council considered issues related to increasing economic stability and further developing the legislation of the union.
The parties focused on customs and tariffs regulation, product safety, and access to state (municipal) procurement.
They approved an action plan for the transition to the registration of medical goods in accordance with supranational regulations. The plan envisages the creation of the necessary number of accredited testing laboratories and training of experts, inspectors, and manufacturers of medical goods in accordance with the rules of the union.
The rules for organising laboratory research (testing) as part of veterinary control (supervision) include a new concept of reference laboratory in the sphere of veterinary medicine.
The Council decided to augment the rules for determining the country of origin of certain types of goods for the purposes of state (municipal) procurement.
The draft agenda of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was approved in preparation for a meeting that will take place in February 2023.
The next meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council is scheduled for 20 January 2023.
