Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk took part in a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council held on August 19 via videoconference.
The
meeting participants reviewed the progress of the Eurasian Economic Union
member states toward fulfilling their energy commitments, including the
preparation of a draft international treaty on the formation of a common gas
market of the Eurasian Economic Union. The parties discussed a list of topics
to be proposed for consideration at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental
Council.
They approved a draft agreement on permissible weights, axle loads and
dimensions of vehicles on the roads of EAEU member states included in the
Eurasian transport corridors. At the same time, the transition to new
requirements will proceed as road preparations are completed during the period
up to 2030.
The meeting participants approved the procedure for mutual comparative assessment by EAEU member states’ accreditation authorities, which is one of the conditions for mutual recognition of member states’ accreditation of compliance assessment agencies in national accreditation systems.
They adopted a new version of the Pharmaceutical Inspection Rules to ensure full comparability of the results of pharmaceutical inspections by the member states’ inspectors; to unify approaches to the stages of pharmaceutical inspections, to the procedure and timing for reporting on each stage of such inspection; to establish a system of measures in terms of graded number of comments on the production process (to ensure an unbiased, transparent and system-wide evaluation of pharmaceutical manufacturers’ ability to manufacture products with specified quality parameters in a stable manner); to increase the time given to a manufacturer to prepare a plan of corrective or preventive actions based on the inspection results.
The parties approved the draft Agreement on the Establishment of a Eurasian Reinsurance Company, an international financial organisation set up to stimulate mutual and foreign trade through reinsurance activities.
Validity of the preferences granted to backbone and city-forming enterprises (organisations) in the form of deferred and installment payments of customs duties has been extended until 31 December 2023.
In order to ensure the smooth operation of the wheeled vehicle market, the attendees adjusted the expiration of documents confirming the vehicle type.
The registration period for medical products under national rules was extended until 31 December 2025, on the initiative of the Russian side.
